This is one of the first stencil paintings i have ever made.
I upcycled the old cabinet that we put apart.
Sold just recently – I believe i went for some kind of charity auction.
Finished a long time ago but never published. so I am sharing them today. The painting is already gifted.
It took me longer than I expected and planned. It felt wrong, incomplete .. something was missing.. I started in November and started adding layers.. in December I decided to go for something more than stencil, added some additional acrylic paint layers. Eventually some day in January I decided it is finished 🙂
The weather was crap this weekend. Really bad. Look at the photo of my balcony if you don’t believe me. What to do, what to do I asked myself and decided to reuse the wood left from the disassembled cabinet. How? By painting it. Nice glass of wine and hazardous spray fumes made my weekend really colourful despite all the greyness outside 😀
What to do, what to do I asked myself and decided to reuse the wood left from the disassembled cabinet. How? By painting it. I started from a small pieces that used to be a door. apx 30×30 cm.
I then decided to do something bigger. I think this used to be a side of the cabinet.
And all of this because of the weather 🙂
This last piece I made couple of weeks ago, when the weathe was still great. An old wooden pallet that was there wIti g for me to decide what is it going to be. I planned a table top but eventually decided for a mixed media stencil. The size is probably 60×90 cm.
